Spring is on the way...

Most of the snow has melted and it's so great to get outside again! I took my boys to Minnesota for a few days for Spring Break and we were able to see friends and family. It was wonderful. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we all took a walk and most of us stayed out of the mud, but it wasn't easy!

Ice

Since we moved "south" to Iowa, I truly believed that this winter would be a little easier. Milder. Warmer than North Dakota. :) This winter has been anything but easy. Lots of snow, cold temperatures, many missed days of school and ICE. This last ice storm caused lots of problems, but the ice really was beautiful.

The entire back side of our house was covered with icicles.

As it became warmer during the day, the icicles began to fall.

he's already one

I've known Katie for quite awhile now and I can't believe she's a senior! Katie's sense of humor is fantastic and she always makes me laugh. We went to a beautiful park by the Mississippi River and she had ME smiling the whole time. It was great working with you, Katie. Thanks for letting me take your senior portraits.

I had a great time with Megan going all over the place for her senior pictures. She is one cool gal with a fabulous smile. She's already making plans for after high school and I wish her the best of luck. Enjoy the rest of your summer, Megan!

I love when whole families get together. Everybody helps each other with the kids and there are always a lot of laughs. This family is no different. They all were wonderful to be around and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. The kids are all so adorable. I know they were having a great time at their grandparents' home at the lake.

Anabel was so sweet to her little brother Jake. It was so easy to see that she adores him! I loved her gorgeous eyes.

It was Madelyn's birthday the day I was there and she was VERY excited to have cake!
